When puberty began, I started my hunt for skin care brands. At that point in my life, I hardly put products on my face. Walking into the skin care aisles of stores made me feel so overwhelmed! Thankfully, my skin was not extremely sensitive, oily, or acne-prone so I was able to try anything and everything that caught my eye.
Now, at twenty years old, I have found a wide range of brands and products that do work for me. One brand that I had always adored was Lush! I still use a lot of their products today and it just amazes me how abundant the products are in natural ingredients. Another plus: Lush is cruelty-free!
I gathered a list of my favorites to share with you all! These are favorites from cleansers to body scrubs to even hair products –
Mask of Magnaminty Face Mask – This minty mask can be used on your face AND your body. Most of LUSH’s masks are refrigerated but Mask of Magnaminty comes in larger sizes and can be stored at room temperature! This makes the mask easy to take with you when traveling. After waiting 10 minutes for the mask to harden and after rinsing, your skin feels super soft and refreshed!
Ingredients: Bentone Gel, Kaolin, Honey, Talc, Ground Aduki Beans, Glycerine, Evening Primrose Seeds, Peppermint Oil, African Marigold Oil, Vanilla Absolute, Limonene Fragrance, Methylparaben, Fragrance, Chlorophyllin

Oceansalt Face and Body Scrub – Believe it or not, Oceansalt was the first product I tried from Lush. I was on vacation, so I decided to get a body scrub to exfoliate my skin. This scrub smells SO GOOD – definitely reminds me of a tropical vacation. I normally apply scrubs generously so I can go through a container in no time. Use it wisely if you decided to buy it!
Ingredients: Fine Sea Salt, Fresh Grapefruit Infusion, Coarse Sea Salt, Stearic Acid, Fresh Organic Lime Extracted in Vodka, Sodium Cocoamphoacetate, Glycol Cetearate, Trithanolamine, Avocado Butter, Extra Virgin Coconut Oil, Lime Oil, Seaweed Absolute, Violet Leaf Absolute, Glycerine, Lanolin, Cetearyl Alcohol, Citral, Limonene, Linalool, Fragrance, Blue 1, Methylparaben, Propylparaben
Coal Face Facial Soap – I recommend the Coal Face cleanser to anyone who has normal to oily skin. Since coal is an ingredient, this cleanser bar can be exfoliating. If you have dry skin, I suggest very hydrating toners and moisturizers to follow up. The smell is pretty harsh but I learned to get used to it! It kept my skin clear throughout my three years of using it.
Ingredients: Liquorice Root Decoction, Water, Rapeseed Oil, Glycerine, Coconut Oil, Sorbitol, Fragrance, Sodium Stearate, Sodium Hydroxide, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Sandalwood Oil, Rosewood Oil, Powdered Charcoal, Sodium Chloride, EDTA, Tetrasodium Etidronate, Farnesol, Geraniol, Linalool, Silver Lustre

Eau Roma Water Toner – Roma Water really smells like nothing but is a great pair to any of Lush’s moisturizers! A lot of toners at the drugstore have a heavy chemical smell and feel on the skin. When spraying this toner, however, you feel like you’re misting your face with water. My skin routine for years was Coal Face, then soaking my face in Roma Water, and lastly the Celestial moisturizer before applying makeup.
Ingredients: Lavender Water, Rose Water, Citronellol, Geraniol, Limonene, Linalool, Fragrance, Methylparaben
Celestial Moisturizer – This moisturizer is on the cheaper end and smells like marshmallows! I loved going to bed and starting my day just to smell this moisturizer. When paired with the Roma Water, Celestial worked really well with seeping into my skin and adding extra hydration onto my face.
Ingredients: Vanilla Water, Almond Oil, Almond Milk, Glycerine, Fair Trade Organic Cocoa Butter, Fragrance, Fresh Dove Orchid Extract, Cetearyl Alcohol, Stearic Acid, Triethanolamine, Methylparaben, Propylparaben
Grease Lightning Tea Tree and Aloe Gel – As you can tell from the ingredient list, this gel can be made with items you can find at grocery stores. I love how small of a bottle this gel is packaged in because that’s seriously how much you need. When you go to a LUSH location, the workers there will suggest using Grease Lighting as a spot treatment. Aloe is a great ingredient for repairing and healing and Tea Tree takes a lot of a pimple’s redness and swollenness. I would put this on right before bed! That’s the best time for your body to heal.
Ingredients: Thyme, Rosemary and Tea Tree Infusion, Water, Organic Aloe Vera Gel, Sea Water, Grape Juice, Carrageenan Extract, Lavender Oil, Witch Hazel Extract, Linalool, Fragrance, Methylparaben

R&B Hair Moisturizer – I haven’t tried many of the hair products Lush has to offer. R&B, first of all, is the best smelling pot in the store. IT’S NOT A JOKE… SMELL IT. The citrusy smell is always very refreshing! Since R&B is a hair moisturizer, I love to take a dollop of this greatness and warm it up in my hand and apply it the ends of my hair! Especially with my balayage, my ends look very dry and wirey after a while. R&B keeps them moisturized and is great to use when looking for piecey, textured curls as well!
Ingredients: Oat Milk, Glycerine, Organic Avocado Butter, Fair For Life Olive Oil, Glycerl Stearate & Peg – 100 Stearate, Fragrance, Cetearyl Alcohol, Extra Virgin Coconute Oil, Cold Pressed Organic Jojoba Oil, Bay Oil, Orange Flower Absolute, Jasmine Absolute, Cupuacu Butter, Candelilla Wax, Benzyl Alcohol, Phenoxyethanol, Benzyl Salicylate, Eugenol, Geraniol, Isoeugenol, Benzyl Benzoate, Farnesol, Limonene, Cold Pressed Organic Jojoba Oil, Linalool, Lilial
